For the strongman athlete

Yokes, sleds, carries, atlas stones — modeled.

A loaded-carry mode captures load-per-side, distance, and time on every farmer's walk and yoke run. Eight strongman implements — sled, yoke, farmer's handle, sandbag, atlas stone, log, axle, frame — each with its own icon in the picker. And three new ways to set a personal record — AMRAP, fastest time for a distance, longest carry — so a six-minute frame-walk PR doesn't end up in a notes app.

The pitch

Where flexRep meets you.

Strongman is event-based, mixed-modality, and dominated by formats that don't fit a weight-times-reps cell. flexRep added the modes the events need — and the new ways to set a PR that go with them — without bolting on a separate "strongman tab."

Loaded carry is a real mode.

The load is per implement per side. The distance is the full carry. The time is the elapsed clock. The receipt row reads 225 × 40 m (1:12) and the volume math knows it was a carry, not a press.

Three PR types that aren't weight-and-reps.

AMRAP — most reps inside a time cap, grouped in 30-second buckets. Time-for-distance — fastest time at a given distance, where lower is better, bucketed every five metres. Max-distance — your longest carry ever. The Records feed renders each one in its right format.

Eight strongman implements.

Sled, yoke, farmer's handle, sandbag, atlas stone, log, axle, frame — each with its own distinct icon so the picker is scannable. The plate calculator stays out of the way. A yoke isn't a bar.

A farmer's walk, on the receipt

225 lb / side · 40 m · 1:12.

The receipt row reads load × distance, duration in parentheses. The PR feed shows the same set two ways — as a strength PR (heaviest load at that distance) and as a conditioning PR (fastest time at that load). The muscle math knows it was a carry, not a press, and weights the credit accordingly.

Loaded-carry input panel

Load entry with a "per side" label. Distance hero with 10 / 25 / 100 / 400 step buttons. Duration hero with second-precise steppers. Set type selector. Everything the event needs, nothing it doesn't.

AMRAP, time-for-distance, max-distance PRs

Three new PR families ride alongside weight-and-reps in the same Records feed. The AMRAP groups by 30-second cap; the time PR is bucketed every five metres; the time PR is lower-is-better, with the delta math to match.

Eight strongman implements

Bundled equipment types with distinct icons. Picker chips include them automatically. Strongman implements default to a 10 lb (or 5 kg) increment so a small step actually feels small.

Made, missed, or touch-and-go

Stone-to-shoulder PR? It either went up or it didn't. A missed attempt doesn't establish a PR and doesn't fictionalize your strength curve — the baseline that scores is the baseline you actually completed.

Same Watch app, same export

No separate "strongman tab." The Watch logs a carry the same way it logs a bench press. The CSV export gains the carry columns and the new PR types automatically.

How it stacks up for a strongman athlete

The category is mostly Excel sheets, federation portals, and gym-bag notebooks. flexRep is the first general-purpose strength logger that treats a yoke walk as something other than "an exercise without a weight column."

What we won't do for you

Refusals are also features.

  • We don't fake a weight value for a sled push that wasn't loaded.
  • We don't count a dropped stone as a load PR.
  • We don't lock carry analytics behind a "Pro" tier.
  • We don't ask you to log a carry as a "set of 1 rep."
