For the Olympic weightlifter

Sinclair, not Wilks.

Olympic weightlifting is its own sport, with its own scoring, its own federation rules, and its own formula. flexRep treats it that way. Snatch and clean-and-jerk are kept distinct from the powerlifts. Sinclair scores ride on every PR, using the current IWF coefficients. Fourteen Olympic lifts come bundled. And every top-set attempt carries a made-or-missed outcome, so a missed jerk never gets baked into a personal record.

The pitch

Where flexRep meets you.

A snatch is not a squat. A jerk is not a press. The fact that most lifting apps still don't know this is one of the reasons Olympic weightlifters end up keeping their training in spreadsheets. flexRep models the sport with the specificity it deserves.

Olympic lifts kept separate from the powerlifts.

Snatch, clean and jerk, clean, jerk, and total all have their own identity in the app — distinct from the squat, bench, and deadlift. So your Olympic totals never accidentally show up next to a Wilks score, and your powerlifting numbers never trip the Sinclair calculator.

Sinclair scoring, current coefficients.

The Sinclair score is computed from the IWF's current cycle (2017–2024, valid through Paris). When the IWF publishes the next cycle, the score updates — no app migration, no waiting on us.

Attempts on top sets — and outcomes.

Snatch and clean-and-jerk top sets carry an attempt number (one, two, three), a "command" tag for paused-bar contests, and an outcome — made, missed, or touch-and-go. A missed jerk does not establish a snatch PR. The number that scores is the number you actually completed.

A snatch + C&J PR, scored

Snatch 120 · C&J 145 · Total 265 · Sinclair 314.7.

Two PR rows — one snatch, one clean-and-jerk — with the Sinclair score computed from the current IWF coefficients. The total is built from your best made snatch plus your best made clean-and-jerk. The missed jerk doesn't count toward either. When the IWF publishes the next cycle, the score updates without a new app version.

Sinclair score on every snatch and C&J PR

The score shows up alongside the PR in your Records feed, and alongside the powerlifting score in the exercise detail view. Same place, different formula — each picks the right one for the lift.

Fourteen Olympic lifts bundled

Snatch, clean-and-jerk, and the twelve variants — hang, power, hang-power, split jerk, push jerk, and the rest. Your library knows them from day one. Custom exercises stay yours; we don't rename them.

Sinclair scoring on your total

Your snatch and clean-and-jerk totals score through Sinclair — the Olympic-lifting standard — kept distinct from the powerlifting Wilks/DOTS/IPF math so the two never cross-contaminate. (The structured attempt-one/two/three meet planner is a powerlifting feature today; Olympic meet-day support is on the roadmap.)

Made, missed, or touch-and-go

A missed lift doesn't establish a PR and doesn't count toward your strength curve. The baseline that scores is the baseline you actually completed.

No crossover with powerlifting scoring

Olympic lifts never trip the Wilks, DOTS, or IPF GL displays. Squat-bench-deadlift never trips Sinclair. Two separate scoring worlds, no accidental mixing.

How it stacks up for an Olympic weightlifter

The category is dominated by spreadsheets and coach-specific apps. flexRep's position is that an Olympic weightlifter deserves the same first-class treatment a powerlifter gets — typed identity, federation-correct scoring, attempt-aware analytics.

What we won't do for you

Refusals are also features.

  • We don't score OL totals with Wilks.
  • We don't silently default a sex-keyed Sinclair coefficient.
  • We don't count missed jerks as PRs.
  • We don't pretend a power snatch and a full snatch are the same lift.
